Why is my Hearing aid not working?
Hearing aid repairs are necessary for many reasons. The most common cause is a build-up of wax and debris that clogs the hearing aid microphone or speaker. We highly recommend that hearing aids are cleaned daily to prevent the build-up of wax and debris that can temporarily cause your hearing aids to stop working. During your fitting appointment Dr. Brady will show you the proper way to clean your hearing aids to prevent a build-up to keep your hearing aids in your ears and avoid unnecessary repairs.
In addition, we recommend your hearing aids are professionally cleaned by us every four months. Just like your car, with regular maintenance you will have better protection on your investment. Our hearing aid clean and check service includes deep cleaning of the microphones and speaker, battery compartment or charger, disinfecting, filter and dome replacement, and much more.
With daily cleaning and regular clean and checks by us, you can avoid unnecessary repairs. Neglecting to clean your hearing aids can cause the build up of wax and debris to penetrate inside of the device and continued buildup can cause more serious damage.
Repairs that require further electrical diagnostics may be sent out to the manufacturer. Hearing aid repairs that are under warranty will be sent in at no charge, with only a shipping fee. Repairs that are not under warranty will have a standard charge and will return with either a 6 month or 12 month warranty on the device.
